Sara DiDonato was born in Naples, Italy, where her mother performed as a contortionist in a small traveling family circus. Sara received a BFA in Painting from the University of Iowa, and an MFA in Painting from the State University of New York at Albany. Her drawings and paintings have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in national and regional venues, including the AAF Contemporary Art Fair (New York, NY); Center for the Arts Gallery, University at Buffalo; Rourke Art Museum (Morehead, MN); Albany Institute of History and Art (Albany, NY); and A.I.R. Gallery (Brooklyn, NY). Her work has been reproduced in New American Paintings and in the Stone Canoe journal. She is an Associate Professor at the State University of New York College at Brockport, where she teaches painting and drawing. She lives in Clarkson, NY with her partner, son, and three chickens.
